Let's Talk Mentors!

Looking back, I can’t even remember a time in my life when I didn’t have a mentor. Simply put - I just can’t say no to an opportunity to grow in life OR in business!

Today, I am going to introduce you to my most recent mentor, Laurie Wright.

Laurie Wright is an uber successful self-published Children’s Book Author, and overall hero of mine! I met Laurie back in the beginning of 2017 after getting involved in a local women’s entrepreneur group she was leading at the time. Although I was there to better my Graphic Design Business, I couldn’t help but soak up all, and any information Laurie was sharing about being a self-published author. I was immediately inspired, and began questioning if I too, could become a successful self-published Children’s Book Author?

To my benefit, Laurie later ran a couple of “How To” information sessions on self-publishing and marketing through Amazon. Of course, I was there with bells on! I invited all of my friends, including my sister, Kristy Hammill (now successful self-published author too!) The information was invaluable with easy to follow actionable steps. Side note: Laurie is former kindergarten school teacher, so she knows how to teach in a way that EVERYONE can understand! I was able to publish my first book just a few short weeks later!

Not only did Laurie’s teachings change my life, and in turn give my family financial freedom - I also made a new friend. Laurie is hands down one of the most inspirational people I have ever met and one of my favourite people to hang out with online. I will be forever grateful for her support and guidance in bringing my books into reality!
